Amazon has grabbed more industrial space in the northern suburbs, leasing a big warehouse in Waukegan that could employ hundreds of people.
The Seattle-based e-commerce behemoth confirmed it’s moving into a new 501,000-square-foot building at 3940 S. Lakeside Drive, in the Bridge Point North industrial park. Amazon already occupies one building in the same development, a 627,000-square-foot fulfillment center just around the corner, at 1750 Bridge Drive, that opened in 2017.
