BRIDGE DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS HONORED BY CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE WITH PRESTIGIOUS COMMUNITY APPEARANCE AWARD FOR BRIDGE POINT I-95 PROJECT

Bridge Transforms Former Cement Plant into Class-A, Bridge Point I-95 Business Park; Brings 600+ New Jobs to Fort Lauderdale’s Northwest Community

Bridge Development Partners was recently honored at the City of Fort Lauderdale’s 40th Annual Community Appearance Awards Ceremony for its Bridge Point I-95 business park development project in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Located immediately off Interstate-95, the former cement pipe manufacturing plant was transformed with the development of the 306,466-square-foot industrial park. The project has been a boon to the local economy, bringing 370 construction jobs, along with an additional 250 permanent jobs at full occupancy, and today is home to well-established brands including Floor & Décor, Broward Motorsports and U.S. Autoforce.

The Community Appearance Awards are bestowed annually to recognize outstanding projects that enhance the City’s visual image and economic vitality. Since the program’s inception in 1978, more than 1,000 commercial, residential, landscape improvements and renovation projects have been recognized with this prestigious award.

“This prestigious award is a testament to our partnership with the local government combined with the world-class project team we assembled to bring this transformational development to fruition,” said Kevin Carroll, Partner, Southeast Region of Bridge Development Partners. “We look forward to delivering future projects that will continue to enhance the City of Fort Lauderdale.”

Fort Lauderdale City Commissioner Robert L. McKinzie was quoted at the ribbon-cutting ceremony in June of last year, “We congratulate Bridge Development for making a significant investment in our City, and for strengthening economic opportunities in Commission District III by bringing hundreds of jobs to our area and transforming an underutilized property into a beautiful new business park. When the project team presented this plan, I enthusiastically embraced it because we both recognized the tremendous potential of this site to attract major companies like Floor & Décor and other high-profile businesses. Moving forward, we expect this project to serve as a catalyst for more public and private investment in the City’s northwest community, stimulate economic growth, and enhance quality of life for our neighbors.”

Bridge Development Partners is recognized as one of South Florida’s most active industrial developers and is on track to deliver nearly 2 million square feet of Class-A industrial space in key South Florida distribution markets over the next 12 months. Current projects include Bridge Point Commerce Center in Miami Gardens—the company’s largest South Florida project to date, which will encompass 2.1 million square-foot of class-A industrial space at full build out; Bridge Point Powerline Road—a modern +/- 467,832-square-foot industrial park in Pompano Beach; Bridge Point Riverbend, a world-class, 221,542-square-foot industrial building located at the intersection of I-95 and Broward Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale; and most recently announced, Bridge Point FLL Logistics Center, a 173,129-square-foot, Class-A industrial park strategically located just north of Interstate 595 across from Fort Lauderdale International Airport with Port Everglades just to the east on Interstate 595. Since entering the South Florida market in 2010, Bridge Development has delivered more than 2 million square feet of Class-A industrial space.
